With a distinguished career spanning 18 years, Phuti Mpai is a seasoned Construction Manager and Quantity Surveyor. His journey in the construction industry began with a strong academic foundation from the University of Johannesburg, where he honed his skills in construction management and quantity surveying. Over the years, Phuti has demonstrated exceptional expertise in project and development management.

Phuti’s career embarked as a Trainee Construction Manager with Lubbe Building Contractor, where he laid the foundation for his remarkable journey. He then joined Kopano Creative Concepts as a Project Manager, making significant contributions to notable projects for esteemed clients such as Pick n’ Pay and Eskom.

His passion for excellence led him to BTS Project Management, where he served as a Project Manager. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the development of a remarkable R32 million Head Office & Factory for Spirax Sarco, remarkably completing it two months ahead of schedule.

Phuti’s commitment to revitalizing urban spaces became evident as he actively contributed to inner-city rejuvenation efforts. His accomplishments include the successful refurbishment of the iconic 14-story Mimosa Hotel, the transformation of the 12-story Crest Hill, and the conversion of the Trump Centre into residential flats, to name just a few.

Continuing his journey, Phuti joined the esteemed Qumo Group of Companies as a Consultant Development Project Manager. Here, he was instrumental in the development of 134 residential units in a joint venture with Group 5, the creation of Kearsney residential units in Sunninghill, the construction of Tribeca’s 4-story units in Morningside, and the development of Simba Upper Grayston, showcasing his unwavering dedication to the advancement of construction and development.
